Trim Castle
Trim castle is a castle on the south bank of the River Boyne in Trim, County Meath, I Over a period of 30 years, it was built by Hugh de Lacy and his son Walter as the caput of the Lordship of Meath. The 1995 movie Braveheart with Mel Gibson was filmed there Trim Castle, A 1980 movie, The Big Red One with Lee Marvin, also used the castle as a filming location.
